5 Signs You Are A Big Homie

What's good to all my people out there, to those who are just seeing this for the first time, well this is my first time as a blogger! Allow me to introduce myself my name is Joshua Nichols but best known as The Big Homie Josh! I'm 28 years old and my life's mission is to turn millions of people both men, women and children into the best big homie and homettes on the planet. Yes that is my new word Homettes for my all my ladies out there cause without you all, us Big Homies wouldn't exist!! I started this blog to promote my first book called Big Homie Wisdom and I feel in these times it is more than important, especially for the black community to come together and reach out to the younger generation. More about my story later but I wanted to share a list of 5 Signs you are becoming or are already someone's Big Homie. Before we get started the definition of a Big Homie is someone who is looked up to in regards of their influence on a person's life. Keeping this in mind here are the signs!

1. People trust you
Are you the type of person that others can confide in with their deepest secrets and will not have the fear of being judged? Then you my friend are a Big Homie. We uphold true friends that won't talk behind our backs and always willing to lend a helping hand or offer up some advice on a personal issue. When most find humor in other people's misery you Big Homie see a different need an offer friendship and being non judgemental to the person's problem. You never bash them but empathize with them instead.

2. They respect your opinion and views; even if they disagree
If you can get your point across without being an ass or stooping to another ass's level or both then yes you're the Big Homie. Self control will bring you to the next level in minimizing confrontations. Being able to speak clearly without being angry yet maintaining your authority is certainly not a natural thing but a muscle you must develop. Most of the time in my case any ways that behavior sort of creeps up on you over time but learning to harness it! That's the tricky but  all too necessary part.

3. People look at you different but not in a bad way
Do you post motivating posts on any of your social media sites chances are you are touching someone in a special place that completely made their day! Do you feel like eyes watch you sometimes when you're in public? Could be one of your Facebook friends that find daily inspiration from your page and they looking up to you Big Homie! If you see kid's eyes light up while they talk to you just know they're admiring you homie!

4. You steadily give off positive vibes consciously and unconsciously
Every where you go people more than likely turn their frown upside down when they look your way! Just a smile alone can be worth more than billion dollars to some. It's an awesome habit to form smiling all the time for no reason cause it can instantly boost your healthy enzymes and all that good old science stuff that helps you live! Go research some health benefits to smiling and you'll see what I mean. 😁

5. You don't give a shit what people think of you
This is by far my favorite sign in that all apart of being a real man or woman is being real with yourself! There's no time and it's way too much energy to be someone else when God specifically put us here, at this exact time period for you to read this and go: " Mann, F*** WHAT THEY THINK BIH IM ME." One of my favorite artists Kendrick Lamar said it best, "you ain't gotta lie to lick it my ninja, you ain't gotta try so hard." Love that song and so should you because that what makes you a Big Homie to the masses.

Well that is it for now! I hope this short list was valuable to one of you feeling like the world on their shoulders but think of it as a coming of age: your transformation to O.G. Big Homie Status!! Oh and if you know anyone else who'd benefit please share this with them as I will be coming out with new content on Tuesday each week as I become a more established blog I will be posting quite frequently! God bless and much appreciation!!

Let Me Explain...

Greetings and blessings to you all my fellow strangers (just kidding) I am the strange one in this case. All jokes aside, it has been a while since I've posted anything and to tell you the truth it's been rough. Depression is real and I'm not to the point where I'm in any danger to myself or others but dealing with the loss of  a close loved one is a brand new challenge for me. I'm quite surprised that I've made it thus far but God is so awesome and He always send someone or something my way to reassure me all will work out for the better and that way worse could've been the case if the situation were opposite. I know it's others out there currently suffering like me but let me be the first to tell you, you're never alone. I deal with the same hurt and quite frankly it will never end but that does not mean you got to stop living. If anything a death that hit so close to home should inspire us to live more! I know my little bro would want me to live...

Life Changing Storm

Living in Texas with Harvey looming is anything but pleasant and completely nerve wracking. We have lost our apartment, my clothes and shoes are done and my car has flooded out. As material things can always be replaced, lives can not so with that said if you're like me and feeling frustrated just know God already has a plan for you and I! It won't manifest like we think it will but all in due timing God will come through. It might be an anonymous check being sent by a stranger you never met, could be assistance from your church you never know with the biggest Big Homie of us all! Works forever in mysterious turning chaos into comfort. Deception to Ascension an so on. I ask that everyone reading this please be aware of your surroundings as I have heard people are looting and holding folks at gun point masquerading as someone lending a helping hand. You guys it's really bad out here but I know no mistake was made with this storm. How else was God going to bring us together? ...
